In Prof. Laszlo Jakab’s ‘Fundamentals of Sabre’ we looked at the very basic movements of sabre fencing as well as many possible combinations of these moves. That was with 1 student and 1 master in controlled circumstances.

Now we will take a look at 4 of the moves to discuss the correct distance, timing and set up to successfully execute them on the piste during a bout.

Distance Parry Second intention parry and riposte Beat Counter Counter attack to wrist After this session you will gain a clear understanding of how and why to use these moves, how to practice them in bouts and as a pairs exercise.
how to problem solve your own fencing using these moves and what the coach needs to do in order to facilitate their students learning.

This session is suitable for competitive sabre fencers and coaches and will be an interactive presentation online with Zoom.

A joining link will be e-mailed to you 1hour before the session starts.
